Hi! I’m Chelsi
The first time I started blogging I had just been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. It was a great way to document my journey and keep all my family and friends up to date with everything that was going on. I am grateful to share that I am in remission and with very little cancer news to share I decided to delete my first blog.
In 2010 I met my husband Jesse. You can read our love story here. We were having so much fun planning our wedding that I wanted to create a blog for our family and friends to keep up to date with everything that was going on. But, that really did not happen, instead you can watch our wedding trailer here.
Wanting to share our lives with our family, framily and friends living in different states Simply Smiths began.
We have six babies that are in heaven, Caden, Riley, Oliver, Emery, Zeke and Zoey. We are currently getting ready for IVF cycle three. The journey to try to have our a healthy baby has turned into a long, sometimes frustrating and tiring one. But we know and believe that it is in God’s hands and have faith that one day we will be able to hold a baby in our arms as well as the ones we hold in our hearts. You can find out more about our trying to conceive, ttc, timeline here.
As you read our blog a please remember this is just a little peek into our world. We are not perfect, far from it! While I love pintrest and social media I feel that sometimes it is easy to think that everyone has perfect homes, perfect relationship, is a perfect cook and has the ability to makes any craft look easy. But, that is only because you just get to see the glimpses of what people want to share. I promise we have bad days just like you, our house is not always clean, things do not always go the right way, and I am always trying to improve my relationship with God. I truly believe that God can take anything and turn it into something amazing, but sometimes it is hard to let it go of the control and give it to God.
I love GOD. My husband is my best friend. I love being with my framily and friends, they bring out the best in me. I LOVE to travel, I would pack up everything and just travel the world if I could. I love hockey, go COYOTES, going to sporting events, concerts and movies. Sometimes there is nothing better than curling up and reading a great book. I love photography, board games, camping, sleeping under the stars, road trips, swimming, pedicures, chucks, watching movies, laying in the sun, music, laughing and learning new things. I am very competitive and love to win, I think that runs in my family.
So that is a little bit of our story and who we are.
Welcome to Simply Smiths, we are so glad you are here to join us on this crazy adventure called life.
